From 2024 onwards, the EDF Regional Championships are divided in 4 divisions and are played every two years with alternating host countries.

The Regional Championships feature National Teams from the respective countries in Mens, Womens and Mixed. Also second and possibly third tier teams can enter these competitions. These are for the time being cloth-only events.
